The 97th edition of the Giro will be held from May 9th to June 1st and will start with a team time trial far away from Italy; in Belfast to be precise. 198 cyclists divided into 22 teams will face the 3449.9 kilometers before the finish on June 1st in Trieste. The route of the Tour will feature nine hill finishes, four medium mountain finishes (Viggiano, Montecassino, Montecopiolo and Sestola) and five higher mountain finishes (Oropa, Montecampione, Val Martello, Panarotta, Zoncolan). The highest point of the Giro will be the Stelvio, at 2758 meters, reached during the 16th stage.
For over 50 years Festina has been involved in the cycling world as Official Timekeeper of the most important races and once again this year will be responsible for the timing of ‘Il Giro d’Italia’.
Festina. This is our sport. Welcome.
